Archipilago 9 is a unique development actually built over the sea, on the beautiful beach of San Bruno Yucatán between the ports of Progreso and Telchac. Archipilago 9 is formed of 9 villas that are designed based on the innovative system known as palafitte, or houses built on stilts, at least 1.5 meters in the air.

The project is in complete harmony with nature, peacefully coexisting with a variety of the beautiful flora and fauna endemic to this zone, the coastal dune which are now rare in the Yucatan Peninsula. Our development preserves a great part of dune flora and fauna in its natural state, thanks to the relocation and reforestation work.

Archipilago 9 rises over the coast of Yucatan, Mexico at San Bruno, the most beautiful beach on the Yucatan Coast due to its content of dune flora and fauna; still in its virgin state.

THE TRIP
San Bruno is located just 35 minutes from Merida, Capital of the State, 10 minutes from the Port of Progreso and 5 minutes from the Port of Telchac, placing the project close to a wide range of primary level services such as health services, as well as shopping and entertainment.


WHY AN ARCHIPELAGO?
"An archipelago is a set of islands, generally distant from the coast. An island is a piece of land which emerges from the ocean.

The project is designed with the intention of merging the comforts of home with a natural life, allowing you to feel part of nature. In Archipilago 9 there is no hurry, no traffic, no noises of the city. Just the sea, the breezes and the song of the birds -- but with easy access to principal cities such as the Port of Progreso or Merida, 10 and 35 minutes away respectively.

PALAFITTES

A CREATIVE AND SAFE FORM OF CONSTRUCTION

Archipelago 9 uses the palafitte form of construction (see insert here) for two important reasons: to maximize the security of the villas against any event of nature, and to respect and preserve the coastal dune of Yucatan which is listed as in danger of extinction. It is for this reason that our villas are at least 1.5 meters above the sand, although the actual height may vary considering the natural irregularities of the dune.

All work is carried out respecting the plant life natural to the zone, with much of it reforested to reduce environmental impacts and to ensure a harmonious coexistence with nature.

The project was designed by the well known and respected Yucatecan architect Javier Muñoz Menéndez using many elements that are natural to the Peninsula, from the wood and stone found in the region as well as palapas (palm-thatched buildings), typical of the area. The interiors were designed by Architect Ignacio Braga Loret de Mola, with the impeccable taste that is characteristic of his work.

SATISFYING YOUR COMFORT NEEDS.

The villas contain a series of spacious and comfortable areas, with a living room, dining room, kitchen, servants room with bath, half bath, wooden terraces and a palapa on the first floor; and 3 bedrooms with 3 full baths on the second floor.

Each villa has a total surface area of 158 m2.


ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The project also includes a parking area, pool, sun decks and 3000 square meters of land dedicated to the conservation of plant species native to the region. In addition a custodian lives on the project 365 days a year, providing maintenance and service in the common areas.
